joy! i just learnt that raisins are actually good for health after disposing a tissue full of them. I always had the notion that raisins are very high in sugar content (which is true) and hence, should be unhealthy. Well, yeah, i was wrong. It's actually quite beneficial as it help to increase a type of hormone called leptin which controls hungers. Plus, it increases the antioxidant level which decrease heart inflammation. HOWEVER, due to its high sugar content (20g of sugar in a 100calorie box of raisin), it is advisable only to have one 100 calorie box of raisin a day. Been trying to eat healthy by eating fruits in the afternoon and substituting tibits with either cornflakes or wholegrain cereal(I recommend NESTLÉ® Fitnesse & Fruit! i do not eat the dried fruits in it except for the dried apple and raisins because i find the others too sweet. Otherwise, it taste great! Probably because of the bit of sugar on its surface) to munch on. This is especially since i do not really move around much these days.. But, of course i still have my indulgences (like chip mores cookies!) from time to time too! Food, how can we not enjoy a little indulgence once in a short while. (note that it's not once in a long while. lol. yeah, i know. i'm a glutton! that's why i have a bloody tummy unlike last time. -.-) Judging from the 2 boxes (which amounts to 550g) of cereals and cornflakes i eat, you can already see how much i like to munch. Imagine if these are all potato chips and cheeseballs.. o.o i'm moaning over the slowing down of metabolism. I used to snack on junkies all day when i was young and i was still often underweight then. gahs.
In the meantime, I'M DEEPLY APOLOGETIC TOWARDS MY DEAREST RAISINS for throwing you away! Please forgive me! I have been misunderstanding your presence but worry no more! From now on, i shall appreciate you more and start eating you up! XD
